Happy Ethiopian New Year!

Liam has dinner with the traditional Ethiopian bread injera, made from the very iron-rich teff grain that is found natively in the highlands of Ethiopia. The grain is made into a flatbread like a tortilla or a chapati, but spongier.

We celebrated the Ethiopian New Year 2004! Yes, 2004, because the Ethiopian calendar which is based on an Alexandrian calendar has a difference of 7 years from the Gregorian calendar.
