Frozen Moments in January time

As we returned back from a hot and humid Malaysia we found ourselves in a very cold Austin, Texas....we even had ourselves a little ol' ice storm - Texas style. Which means the entire city had to basically shut down for the week. It was kind of an extended vacation for everyone. It's not often that we get to see icicles on our rooftops down this south...

With 24 coming back (Jack is our mentor)..., business ramping up for both of us ..and our combined weak tendencies towards anything below 60 F, we didn't move around much. Unless it involved tasty, hot food.
We had one fun weekend that got us out of the house....due to the honor of a visit from my old Houston friend, Lisa. Isn't she precious (see below)? We made the rounds for bbq, dancing, live music and more bbq.

We hit some major touring spots here in Austin including the legendary Salt Lick,

Cedar Street for some K-Tel & the Hit Machine (killer dance music). . .

& We even hit Hut's for their famous diner joint, greasy hamburgers. This photograph is for anyone who knew me as the crazy raw vegan.

We do confess that William is responsible for turning Lisa into a Wii addict - He quickly attacked as soon as she walked in the door ...and consistently pulled her into his Wii world at every available moment. We spent some time with newlyweds Kim and Neal....and forced them into Wii World as well. Please come over and play. . . William is waiting for you.

After Church on Sunday, we went to Stubbs gospel brunch for some fabulous food and music....wow, they were good! William was able to find his "inner gospel singer" as he went up on stage with his friend, Lee, to belt out a tune with the band. My husband can sing!

Come visit us so we can get out more...

Cute. I think I would be too intimidated to play Wii with you 2. Wish we could have been there for William's solo.
