We made an attempt to convert William's old bachelor pad into a happy place for children. No, we aren't expecting - we are just having a good time throwing a party for our friend Cathy! We celebrated Cathy O'Neil's upcoming book, Babyproofing Your Marriage. Thanks to all of those who shared their perspectives on how to nurture marriage while nurturing children as well. We forgot to take photos until the end...but here are a few of the happy kids. Don't forget to buy the book for yourself and for your friends in Jan '07. And congrats to our special guest Deji Osinulu for completing his 4th MS-150 ride!

Hannah, my maid of honor, recently moved to San Francisco. She lives in the best area...in Union Square...right next to Chinatown :) We walked everywhere and got a pretty good workout. And we definitely utilized all the fabulous transportation opportunities in that town...including the cable car, the trolley, the BART...and then some. I wish Austin had this kind of transportation system going on. We did the tourist thing - which was pretty easy since Hannah lives in the middle of all the hot spots. . . and got to spend a lot of quality time to just catch up with each other. A favorite spot is Pier 39.... with a lovely sea lion chorus this year.
I was also able to spend some time with Edward (William's brother) and Megan (Edward's wife) who live in San Francisco as well. I am so lucky to have the best in-laws! They were much fun and took Hannah and I for some delicious Dim Sum and then out to Sausalito and Tiburon. It was raining, but we still had fun and got to eat some ice cream and enjoy their company - and admire their new enivironmentally correct car....the Prius, which inspired this award-winning song. (Can you tell I'm dorking out with the hyperlinks on this posting?) Unfortunately, I totally missed the photo opportunity...but it gives me an excuse to present this beautiful picture of them on their wedding day!
